Originally from Egypt, Mohamed is driven by his perfectionist nature to enhance our crane design applications."I’ve been with PALFINGER since April 2023, and it feels like a perfect fit for my personality. Originally from Egypt, I moved to Salzburg from Graz, bringing my bringing my background in Civil Engineering. As a QA Engineer in ICT, I focus on testing "Indus," our application for e.g. designing, static proofing and calculating loading capacities of cranes.
What I truly enjoy most is the environment and my colleagues. It’s incredibly international, friendly, and supportive – a healthy atmosphere. My work feels meaningful because it’s aligns closely with my personality. As a perfectionist, I thrive on identifying and resolving issues before they start. This drive to ensure everything is just right, enhancing our applications so engineers can use them flawlessly for designing new cranes, is how I personally strive to improve and contribute.
What surprised me most was the longevity of the people here. Meeting individuals who have been with PALFINGER for 10, 15, or even 25 years from day one gave me a strong sense of stability. The team culture is wonderfully international; I've had the chance to learn about many different cultures.
I feel I’ve grown the most by expanding my knowledge beyond software testing. As a civil engineer by training, I've broadened my understanding of our complex products by also delving into mechanical engineering. This continuous pursuit of higher quality and deeper knowledge is central to my professional development here. I also actively engage with my colleagues, readily sharing insights and collaborating on solutions. Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to innovation by continuously improving our applications and processes, ensuring our engineers have the most effective tools to design the next generation of cranes – this is how I experience bringing new ideas to life.
