Elisabeth's connection to PALFINGER began with an internship in 2010, leading to her current role driving data-driven decisions."I’ve been with PALFINGER since 2018, but my connection to the company goes back much further, starting with an internship at 16 in 2010. My journey began in the steel department in Lengau, and I later gained experience through internships in corporate controlling. Now, as Director Data & Analytics within Process & Data Management, my role is to empower our company to make fact-based and data-driven decisions. This means building trusted data foundations and analytics capabilities that the business can rely on.
What I enjoy most about my job is the people and the immense possibilities to create something of my own. Knowing that I can have a positive influence on my team and stakeholders, and that I can help steer PALFINGER in the right direction, is incredibly meaningful. I value the longevity I see here; people have been with the company for 20 years! This sense of stability, combined with the opportunities for growth and the international environment, is what I appreciate most about working at PALFINGER. It’s surprising how, even with our significant growth, the core values have remained consistent. The team culture is one of shared drive and a collective effort to achieve the best.
I’ve grown and learned the most here by taking on new responsibilities and pushing for what I believe is right. For instance, I was convinced early that a self-service Power BI analytics approach was the way forward to empower everyone. Starting from a small initiative in 2019, I now lead a department overseeing 4 teams across six locations: Bergheim, Vienna, Sofia, Maribor, Cerritos, and Council Bluffs. It’s incredibly rewarding to work in a company that produces tangible, physical products. What makes me proud is seeing how we empower everyone to contribute to creating what’s next. PALFINGER stands for growth, a strong culture, its people, and a supportive environment. It was always my goal to work here, and the spirit and drive within the organization, coupled with a constant striving for growth while adhering to our 90-year-old values, makes it a truly special place.
