Our PFD Positioner models offer outstanding performance for catenary construction and maintenance. Two independently controlled arms position contact wires and carrying cables with millimeter precision and permit convenient replacement of insulators and brackets. The PFD 99 can be operated safely and efficiently via remote control.

Lateral movement limiters
The parametric lateral movement limiters of access platforms provide maximum range of motion with the highest level of safety (PLd as defined in EN 13849). The limit curves are calculated based on the specific track and vehicle parameters and corresponding safety measures in accordance with EN 14033. Paltronic relies on state-of-the-art sensors for dynamic, real-time monitoring of the platform’s position to prevent unsafe movements. An optional extra permits storage of up to four different lateral limit curves.
Full compliance with PLd
The Paltronic crane control system and its connected sensor system achieve Performance Level d (PLd) as defined in ISO 13849-1 for all relevant safety features.
Electrical earthing
PALFINGER relies on highly flexible earthing cables to ensure excellent protection against electric shocks. Every component – from the base to the crane tip – is connected with 2×50 mm² earth cables. Transparent insulation allows easy inspection of the cables for breaks or carbonization damage caused by stray currents. Units equipped with a work basket are also equipped with corresponding earth cables.
