PALFINGER can always rely on the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade. And they can also rely on PALFINGER. The company has donated a flexibly deployable tail lift and rolling container with purpose-specific equipment for the new fire truck.

Fires, utility leak hazards or so-called false alarms - as a manufacturing company, PALFINGER can expect call-out situations at any time, even at the Köstendorf site. But they can always rely on the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade. That is why the world's leading manufacturer of innovative crane and lifting solutions is directly supporting the Köstendorf firefighters — with a PALFINGER tail lift and special rolling containers for the new fire truck.

Ready for Action Anytime

Thanks to the new equipment, the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade is even better prepared. More flexible deployment of the fire truck has been made possible thanks to the tail lift with its lifting capacity of 1500 kilograms, developed by PALFINGER. Heavy equipment can now be effortlessly unloaded for rapid deployment. The rolling containers packed with equipment are used to quickly collect and dispose of utilities, as well as to establish the water supply for the fire crew. “We can always rely on our partners in the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade, which is why we are pleased to support them. A well-equipped local fire brigade is of great importance both to the company as well as to the community,” emphasizes Martin Zehnder, COO of PALFINGER AG.

Close Neighbors, Good Partners

The Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade has around 110 active crew and 15 young trainee firefighters. “Our team also includes PALFINGER employees who are released by the company for call-outs during working hours. The partnership with PALFINGER has been further intensified with this donation of equipment,” said Bernhard Wieder, former commander of the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade and an employee at PALFINGER. The voluntary fire brigade relies on support from the public sector as well as local companies. Back in 2019, PALFINGER donated new fire fighter helmets to the Köstendorf voluntary fire brigade.
