Lean management at PALFINGER

The technology and mechanical engineering company drives forward lean management as part of “PALFINGER Production Systems” (PPS). The central aim of the program is to design the company’s own processes in such a way that the highest added value is generated from the perspective of the customer. The focus is on actively working and creating together. This is also shown by the current “Overall Plant Concept” project. Together with employees from different locations, the PPS team creates a vision for each site for the next five years. This way, PALFINGER ensures that each site operates to meet market requirements. The resulting initiatives and measures are implemented with the support of lean management experts. In addition, the PPS.connected training program developed internally is a forge for PPS managers at local and regional level. Within one year, employees can complete top-level training by attending courses on topics such as lean management, workshop organization, employee management and more in order to gain important skills throughout the company.
