PRECISION FOR A FESTIVE OCCASION PALFINGER CRANE LIFTS CHRISTMAS TREE AT SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE

On 20 October, a PALFINGER PK 135.002 TEC 7 helped to install the traditional 22-meter Christmas tree and the 12-meter Christmas star in the Court of Honor at the Schönbrunn Palace. The operation brings together a festive Viennese tradition and the performance of the PALFINGER TEC range.

When the Christmas tree is put in place in front of Schönbrunn Palace, precision and a delicate touch are essential. A PALFINGER customer, move-it Transport & Logistik, is responsible for the project and trusts the PK 135.002 TEC 7 to raise and position the tree for the third year in a row, supporting a tradition that is vital to the festive season at Schönbrunn.

The PK 135.002 TEC 7, now succeeded by the PK 1350 TEC, is a heavy-duty loader crane that combines exceptional lifting-capacity and outreach with advanced technology and precision control. These qualities are especially critical for demanding lifting operations, such as the positioning of the exceptionally large 22-meter Christmas tree.

With a lifting capacity of up to 30 tons and a maximum outreach of up to 38.7m, the PK 135.002 TEC 7 is designed for stringent lifting applications. Its P-Profile combines high rigidity with low deadweight, supporting higher performance. The HPSC system adapts the working range to the stabilization configuration, this enables a fully utilized lifting capacity at every point on the stability curve. AOS is able to reduce backswing to a minimum, increasing safety when operating.
