Reach Beyond at PALFINGER as a Paint Team Lead in Oklahoma City, where you’ll provide hands-on leadership to painters and prep technicians while keeping daily production moving safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. You’ll lead paint-floor operations, coordinate work assignments, troubleshoot production issues, and use basic SAP transactions to support order confirmations and material movements. You’ll also help strengthen paint and prep processes by coaching team members, addressing recurring issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this full-time, on-site role works Monday through Thursday.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead daily Paint Department operations, assigning work and balancing resources to meet production schedules, customer requirements, and quality expectations.
- Review job packets, specifications, blueprints, and job orders to identify concerns, resolve paint issues, and ensure work is completed accurately.
- Coach painters and prep technicians, troubleshoot work-related challenges, and promote consistent paint and preparation processes across the team.
- Support production flow through basic SAP activities, including order confirmations, material issue resolution, production order checks, and simple order adjustments.
- Champion quality, safety, and 5S standards while identifying recurring problems, improving production methods, and supporting solutions that enhance efficiency and product quality.
Your Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, including required industrial or general business painting experience.
- Leadership or team lead experience in a production environment is preferred, with the ability to lead, communicate with, and motivate a team.
- Ability to interpret specifications and job requirements, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions with limited direction.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, accurate recordkeeping, and proper use of equipment and materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing production environment; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook is preferred.
