Senior Software Engineer AI-Augmented (m/f/d)

Our CPQ team is transforming how enterprise software is built through an AI-first engineering approach. In this role, you will focus on turning business needs into clear specifications, validating AI-generated solutions, and ensuring quality across the entire development lifecycle. This is an opportunity for experienced engineers who want to leverage their technical expertise, systems thinking, and engineering judgment to shape the future of software development.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with product owners and business stakeholders to turn business needs into testable specifications an AI agent can build against — acceptance criteria precise enough that neither an agent nor a human reviewer can misread them
• Orchestrate AI agents in your area (our .NET 10 Web API backend or our Angular 21 front end) and write or fix code yourself when depth or judgment demands it
• Be the accountable reviewer for every AI-generated change: read the diff critically, catch where it drifted from intent, hold the line on security and maintainability, and decide whether it ships; the money-critical paths (pricing, SAP orders, offers) get the hardest scrutiny
• Take end-to-end ownership of quality, testing and release safety: there is no downstream QA net, so you decide what genuinely needs testing, not just what is easy to test, and stand behind what ships
• Drive architectural decisions, evaluate the impact of changes across services, integrations and business processes, and sharpen the workflow itself: the specifications, skills and pipelines that let a small team ship like a much larger one

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Several years of professional experience building and owning non-trivial software in production, preferably enterprise-scale, plus a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Real depth on either a modern .NET 10 / C# backend or a TypeScript / Angular 21 front end — depth on one side is enough, and our AI workflow lets you reach across the stack when you want to, not because you must; SAP or ERP integration, Azure, EF Core, and an eye for UI/UX and product design (we have no dedicated designer) are considered an advantage
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) and the judgment to know where they fail — you direct and verify an agent, you do not trust it blindly
• A quality-first mindset — the reason this role says “senior”: strong analytical and systems thinking, the instinct to weigh risk, edge cases and testability before you build, and the ability to read code you did not write critically and fast
• Strong communication skills and fluent English, our working language, plus the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and international teams — in a spec-driven team the specification is the work, and ambiguity is a defect
