Reach Beyond with PALFINGER as a Welder, based in our Trenton, NJ location, where you will play a critical role in manufacturing and installation operations by welding sub-assemblies, assemblies, and truck equipment components to precise specifications. You will ensure all welding is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with AWS standards and established quality requirements. Working from drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures, you will maintain a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement. Success in this role comes from delivering high-quality work, supporting operational excellence, and contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on sub-assemblies, assemblies, and truck equipment components while following AWS standards and welding guidelines.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures to complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards, specifications, and production requirements are met.
- Safely operate and maintain welding, cutting, hand, and power tools, including oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment.
- Follow all safety, quality, housekeeping, and company procedures while accurately completing required documentation and production reporting.
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of technical experience with a strong mechanical background.
- Experience with MIG welding and welding equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply measurements, ratios, and practical geometry concepts in a manufacturing environment.
