Installation Welder

Reach Beyond with PALFINGER as an Installation Welder at our Trenton, NJ location, where you will play a key role in supporting the welding and installation of truck equipment by producing high-quality sub-assemblies, assemblies, and mounted equipment to specification. You will perform MIG welding and fabrication work while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with AWS standards and quality requirements. Working from drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures, you will contribute to the successful installation of truck equipment and continuous process improvement. This role is ideal for a hands-on welder who takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and delivering exceptional work in a manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on sub-assemblies, assemblies, and truck equipment installations while adhering to AWS standards and welding guidelines.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to complete installations accurately.
• Operate and maintain welding, cutting, hand, and power tools, including oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment.
• Inspect completed welds and installations to ensure quality, safety, and specification requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, support process improvements, and follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of technical experience with a strong mechanical background.
• Experience using MIG welding equipment and common fabrication tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, safety procedures, and operating instructions.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills, including the ability to apply measurements, ratios, and geometry concepts in practical situations.
