Join PALFINGER’s Digital Solutions team and help shape the future of data-driven innovation. As a Senior Cloud/AI/ML Architect, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cloud-based data solutions that transform machine and process data into valuable business insights. Working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business experts, you will contribute to digital products and services that create value for customers and support PALFINGER’s Strategy 2030+ vision of innovation, growth, and execution excellence.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ingestion processes, and transformation workflows that integrate data from a variety of sources, including cloud platforms, databases, APIs, and business applications
- Develop and optimize cloud-based data architectures, data models, and data provisioning solutions to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases
- Ensure data quality and reliability by implementing monitoring, testing, validation, failure recovery mechanisms, and DataOps best practices across the data lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements, deliver high-quality data products, maintain documentation, and contribute to PALFINGER’s data strategy
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by evaluating new technologies, optimizing infrastructure and cloud costs, supporting MLOps initiatives, and staying up to date with industry trends and advancements
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related technical field, combined with hands-on experience in building and maintaining data processing pipelines
- Strong expertise in data engineering technologies, including SQL, Python/Pandas, Spark, Azure Data Factory, and experience designing scalable data models and architectures
- Solid understanding of modern data platforms, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and big data technologies, as well as cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with software development and agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Git, Scrum, or Kanban; knowledge of Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Terraform, or Azure Bicep is considered a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with a self-driven and organized mindset, a passion for continuous learning, and fluency in English in an international business environment

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 60.962,30 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conforming overpayment.
