With this data privacy policy we inform you about the processing of your personal data by PALFINGER AG, Lamprechtshausener Bundesstraße 8, 5101 Bergheim, when using the mobile application Palfinger Operator Monitor ("Palfinger Operator Monitor").


B. General information

I. Anonymous data collection

You can use individual services of this app without telling us who you are. In this case no personal data will be collected, processed and used.

II. Services without login

When using services of this app that do not require a login, data from you will only be stored locally on your mobile device; if data is processed by us for the provision of services, we refer to this in the section "The individual services without login" (see C below)

III. Service with a login

When using services that require a login, data is transferred to our data server, processed there and - depending on the respective service - stored in your Palfinger Paldesk account (see D).

IV. Geo services

In order to use different services (Sales & Service) within the Operators Monitor App, a transmission of the geodata is required. Geodata is the position data of the mobile device.

V. Passing on the data

Personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract, in particular for the provision of the services. This is the case, for example, if the location of the vehicle with support of the service Google Maps of Google Inc. ("Google") is displayed on a map.

VI. Paldesk ID

For the use of some services you need a Palfinger Paldesk Userid at PALFINGER AG, Lamprechtshausener Bundesstraße 8, 5101 Bergheim. With the Paldesk Userid some services can be used in connection with the Paldesk Fleet Monitor. Access to these services is provided by your Fleet Manager or Admin. He also enters your personal information. Data owner for your personal data and responsible person is the company, which nominated you at Paldesk. This data is not administered or passed on by PALFINGER AG.


C. The individual services without login

The individual services without login are described below.

I. Sales & Service Search

With Sales & Service Search, every user can use the app to search for a Palfinger sales or service partner in the near of. The position data of the mobile phone is forwarded to this service via the API of Google Maps integrated in the app.

II. Status Codes

The function "Status Codes" gives you the possibility to search for error codes of Palfinger devices and to get further explanations. No data other than the error code is transmitted in the course of this function.


D. The individual services with login

The individual services with login are described below.

I. Navigation

In the navigation you will find the possibility to log in. With your Paldesk Userid and the password you can log in. This will display your first name and surname in the navigator. You can also select the cranes that are available to you at the top right.

II. My Crane "My Crane" offers you an overview of the operating hours for the crane, which you have selected in the top right-hand corner. This data is sent to Paldesk Service via the Telematic module mounted on the crane. In addition, the service partner stored with your fleet account is displayed. When the Route button is selected, a route to the service partner is calculated using your position data and Goolge maps. The position data of the mobile phone will be transmitted from Google Maps to this service via the Api integrated in the app.

III. Maintenance Checklist

With the "Maintenance Checklist" the user of the app can see the service history of the crane he has selected. In this history the last service actions are shown and by which user they have been carried out and when.

With the "Start Maintenance" button a new service can be recorded. The checklist shows the user the service steps necessary for the crane and can be confirmed.

IV. Crane Features

With "Crane Features" you can display a more detailed functional description of the modules installed on the crane you have selected.

V. Job Planner

The "Job Planner" allows you to simulate the settings required for the crane you have selected by specifying the weight to be lifted.


E. Tracking Tools

I. Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Inc.)

Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Analytics is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. For more information about how Google uses data, see Google's Partner Policy.

Firebase Analytics can share data with other tools provided by Firebase such as Crash Reporting, Authentication, Remote Config or Notifications. The user may review this privacy statement for a detailed explanation of the other tools used by the owner.

This application uses mobile device identifiers (including Android Advertising ID or Advertising Identifier for iOS) and cookie-like technologies to run the Google Analytics for Firebase service.

Users can opt out of certain Firebase features using the appropriate mobile device settings, such as mobile advertising settings, or by following the instructions in other sections of this Privacy Policy regarding Firebase, as applicable.

Personal Information Collected: Cookie, unique device identifier for advertising (Google Advertising ID or IDFA, for example), and usage data.

Right to information: PALFINGER AG sees itself as a service provider for the services Paldesk, Fleet Manager and Operation Manager.
