Production Mechanic

PALFINGER is searching for a Mid-Level Mechanic to work with our Production team. We are located in Birmingham, AL. This position reports to the Production Manager. 

Your Responsibilities

• Install/general assembly of various accessories, wiring, and components on truck bodies including toolboxes, lights, vices, and cranes.
• Perform functional testing of the crane and installed accessories.
• Work effectively within a team environment or on an individual basis.
• Partner with Production or Engineering teams to resolve mechanical, truck body, or electrical issues.
• Participate in the care and upkeep of the production shop and all equipment and tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Your Qualifications

• Experience or proficiency in 12v or 24v wiring. 
• 1 - 3 years of mechanical assembly experience (INTERMEDIATE).
• Basic math skills required and ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Must be physically able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 10-50 pounds periodically.
• Must be a team player and speak, read and write English.
