Job Description

Product Line (PL) Marine Handling Solutions (MHS) is a supplier of high-end equipment to the Oil & Gas, Offshore and marine segments. MHS product areas are Offshore Cranes, Winches, Lifting & Handling Equipment and Access Equipment. The main office for the MHS setup is in Bergen with assembly site in Gdynia and design offices in Bratislava and Rijeka.

To further strengthen our team, we are looking for Service Engineers to join us at Palfinger Marine Norway AS. Whether you are already an experienced senior level engineer or starting your service career at a junior level, Palfinger Marine is the place where you can unleash your true potential!

Your responsibilities

  • Take the lead in installing, commissioning, inspecting, and servicing advanced cranes, deck equipment, and machinery.
  • Deliver scheduled and unscheduled service interventions across the globe, both onshore and offshore.
  • Provide hands-on technical support on-site and remotely, including planning and preparing service interventions.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and quality by following company and client HSE requirements, policies, and quality systems.
  • Embrace an international service role with an estimated travel requirement of 150+ days per year.

Your Qualifications

  • Bring a technical education or a strong combination of education and hands-on experience in areas such as hydraulic and mechanical systems, electro, automation, or PLC, including Siemens TIA / S7, HMI, and frequency drives.
  • Demonstrate excellent expertise in electrical and/or hydraulic systems, with confidence in reading technical drawings and troubleshooting faults.
  • Previous maritime or offshore experience is a strong advantage, and qualification for an offshore health certificate is essential.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken, and bring strong cooperation and interpersonal skills.
  • Thrive both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to systematically fault-trace complex technical issues and work in a structured, creative, and multitasking environment.
