How It Works

What makes Speed+ faster?

Speed+ is more than higher oil pressure. It combines changes to the crane architecture, hydraulics, mechanics and control software, so repeated movements run up to 25 % faster. You get shorter cycles, especially in building material delivery and construction work. Available only on MLT.

How does S-HPLS increase lifting capacity?

The Super High Power Lifting System raises hydraulic pressure automatically when a lift needs it, giving you up to 15 % more lifting capacity. The crane slows down at the same time, so the heavier load stays under control. You get more out of your crane without moving up a size class. Standard on every MLT.

How does HPSC give me more reach?

High Performance Stability Control continuously checks the position of the stabilizers and sets the permitted lifting capacity for that exact setup. If a stabilizer can't extend fully, you still get the maximum safe capacity instead of a fixed, conservative limit. Depending on the configuration, MLT comes with HPSC-E for the main stabilizers or full HPSC, which also includes additional stabilizers. With LOAD as an option, the crane also uses the truck's load and inclination to unlock more reach.

What does Power Link Plus do?

Power Link Plus is a reverse linkage system. The knuckle boom tilts up to 15° above horizontal, which makes it easier to lift under structures, through openings and around obstacles. Close-range movements stay smooth with heavy loads, and the crane still folds compactly on the truck, within legal height limits.

How does Flow keep movements smooth?

When you command several movements at once, such as slewing, lifting and extending, Flow distributes the hydraulic oil so that no function stalls. The crane’s speed stays more constant and the operation stays smooth.

What does Support Force Limit do?

Sensitive ground can only take so much pressure, yet operators rarely know the exact force their stabilizers put through. Support Force Limit continuously measures the support forces on each stabilizer leg and alerts you in case of overload, so the permitted loads for the ground and the job site are never exceeded. That prevents structural damage and helps you meet the requirements of special operations, for example on bridges, over basements and on sensitive structures.

What does AOS do?

The Active Oscillation System dampens boom vibrations and load swing automatically, vertically during lifting and lowering and horizontally when slewing stops. This protects the load, the truck and nearby structures, especially with sensitive loads or at long reach.

What are Lane Lock and Slewing Lock?

Slewing Lock lets you limit the slewing range on the job site. Lane Lock does the same with predefined limits, for example when you park parallel to traffic or next to railway lines. The crane can't swing into the restricted area, which helps avoid accidents and damage.

How does P-Fold work?

P-Fold automates folding and unfolding with a single control lever. The system coordinates all boom and fly jib movements and can manage the winch as well. Setup and stowage take less time, damage during folding is prevented, and the crane guides you safely through the process, even if you have less experience.

How does the Leveling Assistant work?

With a single lever input, the stabilizers move semi-automatically until the truck is level. This reduces setup time by up to 80 %, improves stability and makes sure the crane stands correctly for every job.

Applications

Building Material Delivery

Bricks, blocks and bagged goods from the truck to where the crew needs them. Speed+ makes repeated movements up to 25 % faster, so you finish more deliveries per day.

Pallet Handling

Pallets straight from the truck bed onto the site. With the pallet fork and the radio remote control, one person handles the whole delivery with the load in view.

General Construction

Every site brings different lifts, often on tight and uneven ground. MLT combines speed, lifting power and stability, and Power Link Plus helps when the load has to pass under or around something.

Drywall & Interior Fit-Out

Plasterboard and interior materials through windows and openings into upper floors. Power Link Plus tilts the knuckle boom above horizontal for the final reach into the building.

Machinery Transport

Small excavators and compact machines on and off the truck bed. Power Link Plus keeps heavy lifts at close range smooth and controlled, so the load doesn't swing into the truck or the crane.

Heavy Loads At Close Range

Ballast weights, precast parts and steel delivered next to the truck. S-HPLS adds up to 15 % lifting capacity when the load gets heavy, and the crane slows down to stay in control.

Road Construction

Road barriers, guardrails and concrete elements placed along the carriageway. S-HPLS and HPSC give you the power and stability for heavy placements right beside traffic.

Infrastructure Maintenance

Signs, lighting, drainage parts and utility components replaced along roads and railways. Lane Lock keeps the crane clear of traffic and overhead lines.

Trench Shoring

Trench boxes, shoring systems and steel plates positioned precisely in congested urban job sites. HPSC gets the most out of every stabilizer setup where space is tight.

Municipality Work

Street furniture, planters and barriers in public spaces where room is limited. HPSC gets the most out of a partly extended stabilizer, and Lane Lock keeps the crane out of the traffic lane.

Waste Management

Bins and containers collected and set down on one route, many times a day. Speed+ shortens every cycle, and Soft Stop keeps movements smooth when you work fast.

Bulk & Grapple Work

Gravel, debris and loose material moved with a clamshell bucket. Flow keeps slewing, lifting and extending running smoothly at the same time, cycle after cycle.

Roofing

Roof panels, tiles and insulation up to the roof line, and often across it. Speed+ makes fast vertical movements, and AOS keeps the load steady at long reach.

High-Reach Applications

Loads handed over at height, with fly jib and long outreach. AOS reduces load swing at full reach, and HPSC gives you the most reach your stabilizer setup allows.

Confined-Space Applications

Courtyards, underpasses, narrow streets. Power Link Plus tilts the knuckle boom above horizontal to work under structures, and HPSC keeps capacity available when the stabilizers can't extend fully.

Fast Setup

P-Fold unfolds the crane with one lever, the Leveling Assistant levels the truck semi-automatically. While other cranes are still setting up, MLT is already lifting.

Not sure MLT is the right range?

TEC

For the most complex lifts, with fully connected, software-driven assistance systems for unmatched precision.

SLD

For everyday lifting with a simpler specification and fewer options to configure.

FAQ: Is MLT The Right Range For You?

The questions we hear most from operators and fleet managers choosing between the three ranges.

What's the difference between TEC, MLT and SLD?

Same quality standards, same service network. What changes is the control electronics and what they unlock: SLD is the simple specification for everyday lifting. MLT adds the new control package for fleets whose cranes do different work every day. TEC is fully sensorized and optimized for the best weight-to-performance ratio, and is the only range on which boom tip control, memory positions and every HPSC-Plus module is available. The three overlap in size, so you choose the class for your truck first and the range for your work second.

What does MLT replace?

MLT is the successor generation to the EH and SH cranes. Redesigned from the ground up, it is now one clear range, with more speed, more standard features and more ways to configure the crane than ever before.

Which MLT models are available?

The first models in the 20 to 40 mt class are available now. More size classes follow. Your sales partner can tell you which models are available in your market.

Can I configure MLT for my work?

Yes. S-HPLS, Flow and Power Link Plus are standard on every MLT, with HPSC stability control depending on the configuration. Options include LOAD, Lane Lock, Slewing Lock, P-Fold, Support Force Limit, AOS, a fly jib, a workman basket and much more.

How do I choose an MLT model?

Start with the heaviest lift you do regularly: the lifting moment it needs, and how far out you need to carry it. That gives you the size class. Then look at the truck, because the class has to match the chassis. Equipment comes last: fly jib, winch, remote, attachments. The model filter lets you set range, class and lifting moment together. If two models look right, a demo on your own truck will settle it faster than a spec sheet.
