Timber
EPSILON cranes are active across the timber industry, where rough terrain, heavy loads, and high cycle rates demand reliable equipment and precise control. We support timber haulage with efficient loading workflows, timber harvesting with robust offroad performance, and timber processing with accurate, repeatable handling for steady throughput. We also produce solutions for garden and landscaping activities, where versatility and smooth, precise placement – often in confined spaces – are key to success.
Recycling
Recycling involves harsh conditions, mixed materials, and continuous handling – so optimized uptime and durability are essential. EPSILON cranes support activities including scrap sorting, waste management, and container discharge, combining strong performance with controlled movements. This helps customers handle unpredictable loads safely, keep cycle rates high, reduce wear, and minimize handling errors in demanding day-to-day operations.
Construction
The construction industry requires agile and versatile lifting performance under significant time pressure and changing site conditions. The History Of EPSILON
1980
EPSILON is founded in Regenstauf, Bavaria.
1988
EPSILON becomes a proud member of the PALFINGER Group. Access to PALFINGER’s worldwide sales and service network paves the way for international growth.
2000
After relocating from Regenstauf to Austrian sites in Lengau and then Köstendorf, EPSILON establishes its permanent home in Elsbethen, near Salzburg. A small, passionate development team lays the technological foundations for today’s innovative strength.
2005
The EPSILON Plus series is launched. For the first time, customers have access to a complete portfolio covering different lifting capacities, geometries, and control systems.
2006
A complete range of offroad cranes is released for forwarder, skidder, tractor, and chipper applications.
2008
The Epsolution series hits the market. Patented innovations – such as Epscope, the internally routed hose system in the knuckle boom, and Epslink, the unique joint-rotator combination – simplify daily work and set new industry benchmarks. It includes crane models with lifting capacities ranging from 7 to 30 metric tons, multiple control options, and sector-specific solutions, putting customer’ needs center stage.
2009
EPSILON places increasing focus on internationalization. From Russia and the USA to Brazil, Japan, and South Korea, the company engages closely with local customers’ requirements and incorporates them into new, tailored products.
2014
The company launches the Next Epsolution M series. Featuring new pilot-operated hydraulics and the Master Drive highseat system, it puts operator comfort front and center.
2015
EPSILON expands its operations by inaugurating a new assembly hall and opening the Innovation Center in Elsbethen. In a gradual, strategic process, EPSILON transforms and optimizes its core production processes.
Today
Our Generation 3 series combines decades of crane-building expertise with cutting-edge technologies, laying the foundations for our products’ success in the digital age. Assistance systems, such as Smart Control and electronic end-position damping, set new standards in terms of ease of use and operator comfort.
