Laboratory assistant

For our production site in Niš, we are looking for a responsible and communicative person, with teamwork skills and the ability to successfully organize the workplace.

JOB TASKS:

• Responsible to carry out and control the correct preparation of samples for destructive control (macrographic analysis, hardness measurement).
• Preparation of welding samples for macroscopic analysis and hardness measurement - sampling, pouring with plastic, polishing samples with specialized machines;
• Photographs and analyzes macroscopic samples (macroslides) on a microscope;
• Responsible for hardness analysis of weld samples with a hardness tester;
• Performs destructive testing of the following types of welded joints:
• Randomly selected products from serial production
• Periodic examination of certain "critical" products from serial production
• Prototype products
• Projects related to the preparation and approval of welding technology
• Destructive testing of new welding methods of certain welded joints
• Destructive control of advertised components and components within the warranty period;
• Creation of a "Mechanical Test Report" including, according to the task, a macrographic report and a hardness report;
• Responsible for maintaining the table "Macro section test overview" which contains all performed destructive tests;
• Maintains an archive of macroslides made for the minimum time specified in the PALFINGER instructions;
• Maintains equipment in the welding laboratory in working condition;
• Responsible for ensuring the introduction of new control methods in the welding laboratory when necessary;
• Responsible for training associates in the welding laboratory;
• Responsible for keeping business secrets;
• Responsible for the preservation of the Employer's property;
• Implements safety and health measures at work, PP protection measures and environmental and working environment protection measures;
• Performs other similar tasks delegated to him by his immediate manager, senior manager ordirector.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum secondary (technical) education
• Experience in the same or similar jobs - desirable
• Proficiency in English
• Computer knowledge and ability (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Problem-solving ability
