Accounts Receivable Specialist

PALFINGER is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Tiffin, OH. In this role, you will manage customer credit activities, cash application processes, and collections while helping maintain strong customer relationships and healthy cash flow. You will partner closely with Sales and internal stakeholders to ensure payments are received according to established terms and support accurate financial operations. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing analysis, customer interaction, and process compliance.
Your Responsibilities
- Process customer credit applications, maintain customer account setups, and evaluate creditworthiness through credit report analysis.
- Review customer credit limits and payment terms in accordance with company policies and established guidelines.
- Partner with Sales to monitor anticipated equipment shipments and ensure customer payments are received within agreed credit terms.
- Apply and reconcile daily cash receipts, including lockbox transactions, ACH/wire payments, and credit card payments.
- Manage past-due account collections, support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with accounts receivable controls and procedures.
Your Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable experience.
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data entry capabilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
