Reach Beyond at PALFINGER as a Painter responsible for preparing and applying durable, cosmetically appealing finishes to large truck bodies, assemblies, and components. In this role, you will mix paints and coatings, prepare surfaces, and operate spray equipment to meet production and quality requirements. You will read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals while working in an industrial manufacturing environment. This position is located in Council Bluffs, IA, and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Your Responsibilities

• Mix paint and other coatings according to production requirements.
• Sand, prepare, and clean parts to ensure surfaces properly accept paint and coatings.
• Apply paint and coatings to assemblies and components using spray guns.
• Produce a cosmetically appealing paint finish on large truck bodies.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous industrial painting experience is a plus.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can perform repetitive work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a spray or paint booth and perform assigned duties while wearing a respirator.
• Ability to work a full shift in hot or cold conditions and meet the role’s physical demands, including standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, and periodically lifting 10 to 100 pounds or operating hoist equipment.
