Robust lifting mechanism for precise movement
The durable lifting mechanism with two lifting and two tilting cylinders, a three-part underrun protetction device, and Q8 Heller T15 hydraulic oil ensures stable and precise platform movements during lifting and lowering. All steel components are KTL-coated as standard for optimal corrosion protection. An additional powder coating is available as an option, further increasing the tail lift’s durability and resistance – ensuring long-lasting, reliable performance in daily operation.
Lightweight aluminium platform for daily use
The AluLite 40SH aluminium platform combines high stability with low weight. Its slip-resistant standard surface with simple cross-milling (R10) ensures secure grip during loading and unloading. Standard equipment includes warning lights and warning flags – ensuring safe and convenient operation in daily distribution work.
Comfortable operation as standard
The tail lift is equipped as standard with the Slim Control Panel in the Basic version. The flat, robust control panel enables intuitive and safe operation of the lift. Thanks to its ergonomic button layout and flexible installation options, it ensures a high level of operating comfort and efficient workflows in daily use.
Reliable control with MBB Control
MBB Control is the central control unit of the tail lift, connecting all key components for precise and responsive movement sequences. The processor-based control system enables individual software adjustments for various vehicle and application requirements. Integrated diagnostic functions support quick error analysis and ensure maximum reliability in daily operation.
Optional Features
Adjustable three-part underrun protection device
The optional adjustable underrun protection device offers maximum flexibility for bodybuilders. Its modular design allows the individual sections to be precisely adapted to the vehicle and easily replaced if damaged – reducing maintenance effort and simplifying installation.
Tilting and swivelling underrun protection device
The tilting and swivelling underrun protection device provides increased ground clearance, a larger departure angle, and improved wading capability. This makes it particularly suitable for fire brigades, civil protection units, and military applications, where reliable off-road performance is essential.
Stabilizer options for increased stability
Depending on the requirements, the lifting mechanism can be equipped with either a hydraulic or a mechanical stabilizer. Both options increase stability during loading and unloading and minimise vehicle movement – ensuring safe and steady operation, even with heavy loads.
Alternative platform variants
The optional AluStar platform offers increased robustness thanks to its reinforced tunnel-structure design and provides an ideal rear surface for mounting advertising panels. For equally demanding operating conditions, the FerroStar X steel platform is available with its highly resilient tunnel profiles. It can also be equipped with an optional advertising panel, enabling maximum brand visibility at the rear of the vehicle.
AluPlan folding platform
Optional horizontally folding AluPlan platforms are available. They enable special applications and dedicated operations, for example for fire brigades, civil protection or comparable emergency services, and expand the range of applications of the tail lift for vehicles with special requirements. An optional heavy-duty locking system makes the platform drive-over capable up to 2,000 kg, making it ideal for use with heavy equipment.
Optional platform coatings
Depending on the application requirements, various platform coatings are available. In addition to the standard surface with simple cross-milling (R10), options include double cross-milling for increased slip resistance and a synthetic coating that provides additional surface protection, reduced noise levels, and a durable, low-maintenance finish.
Protective features for platform durability
Stainless steel caps protect the outer platform edges from impacts and wear, while additional protective bars for warning lights and foot switches prevent damage to components. Together, these options ensure long-lasting reliability and reduced maintenance effort – even in demanding working environments.
MBB SafeVis
The MBB SafeVis lighting system enhances visibility and safety in low-light or challenging working conditions. Illuminated edge strips and illuminated roll-stops ensure a clearly visible platform at all times. The lighting is available as steady or flashing light, supporting operators in working with greater confidence and precision. High-quality LED technology provides bright, glare-free illumination and long service life – ideal for safe operation in daily distribution work.
MBB SafeClose
The MBB SafeClose system provides intelligent protection against obstacles during the closing process. Integrated into the sealing system, it ensures a precise platform-to-vehicle closure. If resistance is detected, the movement stops automatically to help prevent damage and reduce the risk of accidents. This smart safety feature supports operators in daily work routines – while their responsibility for safe operation remains unchanged.
Options for increased load safety
Optional roll-stops and recesses provide reliable protection when handling roll containers and other wheeled loads. Roll-stops prevent cargo from moving off the platform, while recesses help securely position containers on the platform surface. Together, these features increase stability, safety, and control during loading and unloading.
Platform railings for increased operator safety
Optional platform railings provide additional side protection and increase operator safety during loading and unloading. Two versions are available: the A-shaped railing for the AluStar platform and the P-shaped railing for the AluStar and FerroStar platform. Both variants enhance safety when working on the platform.
Efficient side-loading solution
An optional lateral C-profile (FixoEdge) can be integrated at the platform edge, enabling stepless attachment of a side loading rail (FixoBridge). This allows convenient side loading and unloading, increasing efficiency and flexibility in daily operation.
Flexible operating options
In addition to the Slim Control Panel (Basic version), a wide range of control units is available – from the Slim Control Panel in Plus and Premium versions to foot switches, the control box, Remote Control BT, 3+1 control buttons and wanderlead controls. This allows each tail lift to be perfectly adapted to its specific area of application.
Optional cabin control
The optional in-cab control unit allows the tail lift to be operated directly from the driver’s cabin. This reduces walking routes around the vehicle and speeds up preparation for loading and unloading – improving convenience, safety, and workflow efficiency in daily operation.
Individual software options
Various software options are available for additional functions or specific application requirements. These allow customised control adjustments, such as QuickDown – reducing lowering time through combined lowering and opening movements for greater comfort, efficiency, and safety in daily operation.
Alternative hydraulic oils
Depending on the operating environment, different hydraulic oils can be selected. AeroShell Fluid ensures reliable performance at temperatures down to –40 °C, while the biodegradable bio oil offers an environmentally friendly option for everyday use.
