Position Objectives:

Support Quality Assurance processes through audits; documentation of non-conformances; prioritizing and implementing assigned improvement projects; practicing document control; communicating quality concerns to managers, peers, production workers, and suppliers; using, managing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments; and coordinating the actions of Quality Inspectors.

Your Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirm and communicate supplier non-conformances to Quality Manager and to supplier. This includes writing NCRs and using software systems (e.g. supplier portal, NCR database) to record the details of nonconforming parts.
  • Audit quality inspection processes and communicate noncompliance to Quality Manager and production supervisors.
  • Create and maintain records of product defects and corrective/preventative actions taken.
  • Create training materials for operations and inspection procedures as directed by the Quality Manager.
  • Create, update, and control inspection forms and other documentation necessary for Quality functions. Assist in life-cycle management of records from creation to storage to destruction.
  • Participate in corrective action discussions as necessary. Recommend changes to operational or inspection procedures.
  • Coordinate actions of Quality Inspectors at the direction of or in the absence of the Quality Manger.
  • Conduct mid-range tactic and strategic projects at the direction of the Quality Manager.

Your Qualification

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing or construction experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a quality control-related position
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to work with hands, stand, walk, kneel, stoop
  • Experience with photography and editing
  • SAP or other ERP programs experience is helpful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail

  • Experience in quality control techniques and procedures
