A high level of strength and a low weight are requirements in the development of new access platforms. To achieve this, PALFINGER uses high-strength steels and aluminium that are formed using a method optimised for their applications. The profile shapes are calculated in complex FE analyses on the computer, checked and optimised to achieve the best possible result.
In the event of a failure or emergency, PALFINGER offers a large number of systems to control the machine. Easy-to-understand and readily accessible emergency controls guarantees the operator's safety at all times.

All PALFINGER platforms have an appropriate emergency control system: All control stands are equipped with an Emergency OFF button that immediately brings the platform to a halt in an emergency. Direct manual operation of the valves for actuation of individual equipment movements enables hydraulic emergency operation, thereby guaranteeing
a safe return to the ground at all times. Thanks to a pump that can either be operated by hand or electrically, the drive is protected even in the event of engine damage.
PALFINGER safety plates are optimally coordinated with the access platform and enable the crane to be securely set up on any surface.

The rubberised base of the PALFINGER safety plates offers a secure hold even under wet conditions. Elevated safety edges all around ensure optimum stacking and also prevent the stabilizer plates from sliding off the safety plate. The milled centre of the safety plate makes it easier to set up the stabilizer plate in the centre.

PALFINGER enables its customers to quickly replace workman baskets. The most common variant is the switch between an aluminium and a plastic basket. After dismounting the control panel, removing the protection hoses and unfastening the attachment screws, the workman basket can be easily removed and changed. PALFINGER plastic baskets are available in two variants: with and without lockable rear opening.
