This Z-type recycling crane from our Epsolution range has a lifting capacity of 15 metric tons and is available in three arm lengths: 7.9 m, 8.2 m, and 9.6 m. The Q150Z features Epscope and Epslink, can be equipped with Easyfold, and offers six different control methods.

Epslink is EPSILON’s patented link-rotator combination. It features an extraordinarily robust four-eye-cast link with internal hose routing – and combines with Epscope to provide a practical, professional solution.

Epscope is EPSILON’s patented extension boom system, available in both single and double telescope variants. The extension cylinder and hose equipment are mounted internally, which allows operators to work safely without the risk of mechanical damage to key components.

KTL + Finite Elemente + Functional Design

Cathodic dip coating (KTL)

This specialist surface treatment lays the foundations for long-lasting surface protection. PALFINGER’s Marburg and Lengau production facilities feature fully automated cathodic dip coating lines.

This treatment starts by degreasing and rinsing components before activating them, applying a zinc phosphate coating and then rinsing again. This is followed by passivation and a final rinsing step with ultra-pure water before the components undergo cathodic dip coating. Sophisticated robotic systems then finalize the process.

Easyfold

A Z-crane usually requires ground support during extension to bridge the dead center of the outer boom ram – but not with the Easyfold system. Instead, this patented PALFINGER EPSILON solution negotiates the dead center with the aid of an auxiliary cylinder.

Triple Z

Triple Z-type cranes feature a triple-folding boom that can be compactly stowed behind the truck cabin, offering maximum maneuverability and minimal setup time.

 

This optional telescopic main boom opens up the working geometry of an L-type crane.

High-Performance Stability Control

Protected hydraulic guide

The High-Performance Stability Control (HPSC) system optimizes operator comfort and safety, even during deployments in confined spaces.

 

In dense urban areas or when surrounded by moving traffic, it may only be possible to stabilize the crane unilaterally – if at all. HPSC ensures that crane operations can be performed safely in such situations by removing the need to ensure that predefined stabilizer conditions are met.

 

Compared with conventional proportional systems, the optional HPSC system from PALFINGER EPSILON comes the closest to achieving true stability. The HPSC and HPSC-L systems offer real-time calculation of the lifting capacity, taking account of factors including the support situation and slewing angle.

The High-Performance Stability Control (HPSC) system continuously monitors the extension of each outrigger and adjusts the crane’s lifting capacity accordingly. This ensures safe crane operation, regardless of whether one or both outriggers are partially or fully extended.

The High-Performance Stability Control Light (HPSC-L) system relies on a simple two-step monitoring process, in which outriggers can either be fully retracted or fully extended. The crane’s full lifting capacity is only available when the corresponding outrigger is fully extended – for a straightforward safety solution.

Standard top seat

The classic top seat with manual controls. Available with joysticks (KH) or linear levers (LH).

The Standard top seat can be mounted behind the crane column with dual-circuit hydraulics. In this version, the directly articulated controls comprise two joysticks and two pedals, while the adjustable seat features armrests and a seat contact switch.
