PALFINGER Marine offers equipment to all major maritime segments, including offshore, marine, cruise, navy/coastguard, and wind. PALFINGER Marine product groups are Marine & Wind Cranes; Boats, Davits, and Fenders; Winches, Handling and Access Equipment; and Offshore Cranes. PALFINGER Marine Norway needs to strengthen up the Structural engineering team with one additional (senior) engineer.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Structural analysis of crane structures, mechanical assemblies, and components
Support the engineering team during a development project from the concept until the prototype testing phase
Support the sales and application engineering dept. during the offering phase for the correct selection of the crane models
Creates statical reports acc. international rules and regulations (EN standards, class societies, etc.) and is the contact person towards the external class society for technical clarification

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

MSc or BSc degree in mechanical engineering or close related disciplines
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in structural calculations
Experience from development/design of offshore cranes is desirable
Good knowledge of offshore relevant design rules and standards
Practical experience with ANSYS and MathCad
Good English skills, verbal and written. Good Norwegian skills are beneficial
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good leadership capabilities with proactive communication and coordination skills is beneficial
