RISING HIGH – WITH EVERY GOAL IN REACH!

10.12.2020

Thanks to versatile access platforms from PALFINGER, the high-profile rental company Biberger – based in Schierling, near Regensburg – can serve even the most demanding of customers.

Just a few minutes is all it takes to position the 7.5-tonne MAN truck in front of the imposing silo, even on the grassy ground. Its supports are stable and safely extended. The operator then climbs into the robust aluminum workman basket with integrated anti-squeeze protection and, at the touch of a button, is lifted smoothly but swiftly into the blue sky. He has some tools with him, enabling him to easily perform the clean-up operation on top of the silo 28 meters above the ground.

The P 280 CK access platform from PALFINGER makes his working day much easier – not least thanks to the hydraulic basket rotation device with automatic centering and the high basket load of 300 kg. “This high-tech equipment is ideal for urban settings,” says Martin Biberger, who, together with his brother Benjamin, runs a fast-expanding rental company in Schierling.

Thanks to his belief and conviction in the product and especially the feedback he has received from users, the company – which was established just four years ago and serves both the local region and the rest of Germany – has now added three new PALFINGER truck access platforms to its rental fleet. “We recently acquired the models P 250 BK, P 280 CK and P 300 KS, enabling us to cover a wide range of tasks and requirements,” says the company boss. “We need equipment that is powerful, reliable, flexible and safe for our municipal customers and customers from the skilled crafts and trades. And the PALFINGER access platforms fulfill every one of these requirements.”

Other crucial factors in their investment decision included the manufacturer’s outstanding reputation, the expert advice from Sales specialist Roman Dotzer and the “hotline” to the Service department in Kirchheim. Against this background and with the certainty of always purchasing the latest and most advanced technology, the company is looking to steadily expand its inventory of vehicles with lifting equipment at both its headquarters in Schierling and its recently opened site in Regensburg.

As a partner of AVS SystemLift AG, Biberger Arbeitsbühnen & Stapler, Concept-B GmbH is not just regionally active. The professionals can provide their customers with around 18,000 premium-segment access platforms and forklifts for projects throughout Germany and Europe. And what’s more, in addition to equipment and technical support, these young, investment-happy innovation leaders also offer a range of operator and safety training courses, delivered by certified trainers, for all access platforms.

All-rounders large and small

The smallest in Biberger’s trio of PALFINGER access platforms is probably the Mercedes Sprinter-based P 250 BK. With a basket load of 230 kilograms, working height of 25 meters and maximum reach of 16 meters as well as the flat substructure beneath the workman basket and the safe and space-saving stabilizers, the vehicle can be positioned very close to obstacles. Stabilizer operation at the base, automatic support stabilizing with wheel clearance monitoring and the three stabilizer configurations mean that the P 250 BK is extremely flexible and suitable for a diverse range of tasks. Extras such as the home function, reversing camera and platform mode enhance working safety.

When it comes to the aforementioned P 280 CK, which was added to the rental fleet only last fall, the Biberger brothers can list a whole host of further benefits – including the compact vertical stabilizers that allow the platform to be set up in confined spaces and still utilize its full reach as well as the large loading area with a high payload reserve for loading tools.

Its low construction height of just 3.3 meters means that the model from the PALFINGER Light class is perfect for a variety of municipal service providers in urban areas. Thanks to its narrow support configuration and impressive horizontal reach of up to 18.8 meters, the truck access platform is ideal for tree care and road maintenance services.

“The high level of safety with extreme outreaches and the user-friendliness of the P 280 CK make this piece of equipment the premium offering of our rental company,” say the managing directors.

This particular model among the trio also happens to be the strongest. The P 300 KS, too, is much loved among customers for its compactness, working range, maneuverability and ergonomics. The working height of 30 meters and basket load of 350 kilograms mean that even highly complex tasks can be performed quickly and safely. Thanks to optimized minimal mode, it can also operate without the need for stabilizers and with the full slewing range of the jib boom as well as a rotation of up to 10 degrees to the right and left while the vehicle is traveling at 6 km/h. The short wheelbase of this equipment class also ensures a high degree of maneuverability.

For the rental experts Martin and Benjamin Biberger, the three PALFINGER truck access platforms acquired this year are among the highlights of their premium equipment fleet. Since everything – the vehicle, the platform and the equipment – is supplied by PALFINGER from a single source and the service is solution-oriented, the specialists can devote all their energies to their core competencies. So from both an operational and a strategic perspective, they can rise high with every goal in reach!
