PALFINGER MARINE is a global partner for innovative and reliable deck equipment and lifesaving appliances, PALFINGER supplies high-quality products to fulfill standardized and customized demands. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Sales Engineer/Assistant Sales Manager to join the team. You will be responsible for pursuing and creating new sales opportunities for the team in APAC. Technically knowledgeable in proposing clear and optimized solutions based on market’s requirements.
Your Tasks
Application Engineering Activities
Be part of a fun, dynamic and diverse working culture in the marine, offshore and renewables in the new generation of hybrid work arrangement:
- To liaise with internal teams in Europe like Application Engineering, Product Management and Global Sales Managers ensuring technical sales processes and portfolio strategies are met locally.
- Constantly discussing with key clients’ technical requirements and evaluating market demands.
- Studying technical specifications and requirements and converting it into technical proposals and offerings.
- Accountable for establishing and compiling offers in the tendering process, in collaboration with sales managers.
- Harmonization of product offerings from 4 product lines, supporting local Sales Managers achieving sales target.
- Preparing tenders, proposals and quotations for “Customized” product offerings following sales processes and procedures.
Sales Development
- Creating new sales opportunities with pro-active strategies in engaging the market in the early phases of projects.
- Pro-actively foster strong relationships with local Sales Partners, Shipyards and Maritime and Offshore industry stakeholders to identify and offer the right solutions.
- Supporting members of the regional sales team by training “Standard and Configured” modular product offerings.
Your Qualification
- Candidate must possess min. Diploma or Bachelor in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering with at least 1-3 years work experience in the engineering space or related sector
- Hunter mentality, sociable and solution driven personality, a strong believer in teamwork and collaboration
- Meticulous, attentive to details in technical proposal writing
- Good critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Able to work independently, result oriented with good business acumen
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Preferrable possess own car
