System Engineer (f/m/d)


PALFINGER stands for most innovative, reliable and economic hoist-equipment on utility vehicles and in the maritime sector. To strengthen our Köstendorf team we are looking for a System Engineer.


  • Research and development of new product functions and features for loader cranes
  • Further development of existing crane functions
  • Development by consideration of all relevant guidelines
  • Execution of feasibility studies and creation of prototypes
  • Analysis and Evaluation of Ideas, technology trends, and patents
  • Coordination of design contents with other departments: product management, design and service department, competence clusters, until to the start of production


  • Technical education (TU / FH) in mechatronic / engineering with focus on control engineering and/or hydraulics engineering
  • Several years of professional experience as a development engineer
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is a plus
  • More years of professional experience in development engineering
  • High analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Independent, goal-oriented and structured way of working and the ability to work in a team
  • Very good knowledge of German and English language

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 42.053,20. We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
