Palfinger is seeking a strong Senior Accounting Analyst candidate familiar with preparing financial statements and expert knowledge of accounting and financial theories and practices, within manufacturing, to join the team and work out of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Niagara Falls, ON. Job Summary

The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for provide accounting support for diverse regional topics and create detailed financial models and anaylsis in support of project-based initiatives. This is a critical role in troubleshooting and providing present value calculations of regional financials and establishing a basis for key decision making activities.

This role reports to the V.P, Finance, offering a competitive compensation package and opportunity for on-going career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide accounting support for diverse regional topics
Create detailed financial models in support of project-based initiatives
Offer advanced analysis and review of financial transactions for troubleshooting
Apply IFRS compliant advice on accounting and financial topics
Prepare high-quality financial presentations and ad hoc analysis for accounting tasks
50% travel within North America will be required to support projects

Qualifications

Professional accounting designation is required (CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CMA, CPA-CGA)
Several years of experience in progressive accounting roles
Experience preparing financial statements and expert knowledge of accounting and financial theories, practices, tax, and applicable legislation
Experience in implementing and managing internal controls
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced level MS Excel skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
