Finally back again. Finally there are discussions, meetings, presentations and technical lectures again. After an extended break due to the pandemic, the International Exhibition for Track Technology (IAF) was finally held again this year. With 140 exhibitors — including PALFINGER Railway — over 12,000 visitors and various world premieres, it reinstated its reputation as the leading trade fair in the railway infrastructure sector.

In line with the exhibition’s tagline “Track to the Future”, PALFINGER presented the full range of its product portfolio for railway systems. A popular eye-catcher at the PALFINGER trade fair stand was the PR220 railway crane.

For the PALFINGER team, the IAF in Münster was all about meeting face-to-face with customers and users. The extremely positive feedback confirms that, in addition to high-quality machines, the complete package of services from technical specification during ordering and after-sales service in particular, represents a valuable part of the service for many customers, because it is largely unique in the industry. Once again, valuable input emerged during discussions regarding the applications for PALFINGER aerial work platforms, railway cranes and special equipment. This information and experience flows directly into our development work.

Global developments relating to climate change, transport and energy costs, as well as the planned expansion of European rail infrastructure, open up numerous opportunities for the railway division. The IAF Münster brought them to light.
