PALFINGER is searching for a Spare Parts Technical CSR to work in our Spare Parts Department. The primary function of the Spare Parts Technical CSR is to design retrofit and first fill kits based on customer requirements and commonly used items.

This person will work alongside the current CSR’s to assist customers with daily inquires. Technical part interpretations will also be handled while work closely with Service managers to find resolution to complex inquiries in a timely manner.

We are located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This position reports to the spare Parts and Warehouse Manager. 


Retrofit Kit Creation

  • Create BOM for dealer retro fit kit requirements in SAP. 
  • Verify technical configuration of equipment vs required outcome after kit is installed to guarantee functionality meets customer needs.
  • Work with materials management on availability, alternative parts and parts set up. 

Technical Part Interpretations

  • Interact with customers on complex part interpretations to resolve issues quickly and accurately. 
  • Required to navigate Paldesk for parts and technical specifications of equipment. 
  • Will work with Service Department and Product Management in various situations. 

Customer Service Representative

  • Maintain own dealer accounts with excellent phone and email etiquette.
  • Fill in for CSR’s during vacation or sick days to minimize negative impact on dealer’s response time. 
  • Handle Price and Availability of Material based on customer inquiries.  

First Fill Kit creation

  • Design and implement kits for parts commonly used together on various equipment models. 
  • Set pricing based on standard margin levels.
  • Work with Materials Management on stocking levels.


  • High School Diploma required
  • Technical School or Technical Background equivalent preferred
  • Crane or other lifting solutions experience
  • CSR in Mechanical Field preferred
  • Strong communication and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
  • Hydraulics and technical experience an asset
  • Strong computer skills & SAP knowledge
  • Good attention to detail  
  • Proven commitment following Safety Policies
