PALFINGER will present the full innovative power of its lifting solutions to a broad audience at the event. And that's not all: An official PALFINGER team will take on the unique challenge of competing at the Red Bull Flugtag with a handcrafted flying machine.

This year, PALFINGER is an official cooperation partner of the Red Bull Flugtag in Vienna. What do the two brands have in common? Both brands are “made in Austria”. They are internationally successful and stand for a passion for performance and innovation with their products.
Thanks to a willingness to constantly evolve, PALFINGER is the world market leader in lifting solutions. Through the cooperation with Red Bull, the company is once again thinking outside the box and shares the passion for its products with a broad audience.
PALFINGER will support the event with select products and also participate in the Red Bull Flugtag with an official PALFINGER team. It is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the numerous areas of application of its lifting solutions. In addition, employees get the chance to show their expertise to the public.
That’s what friends are for!
Because mutual support is what makes a successful partnership, PALFINGER's innovative lifting solutions will be used at the Red Bull Flugtag. Even before the event, a loader crane is used to assist in the setup. An aerial work platform will be converted into a VIP viewing platform. And a truck-mounted forklift is transformed into a basketball hoop providing entertainment for visitors in between “flights”. After the flying performance, an electric loader crane fishes the flying machines out of the water and brings them safely back to shore.
Flying high (and far) – with passion, creativity and expertise
Get on, lift off, and fly further than the competition: That is the pilots’ declared goal! However, it’s not quite that simple, because the distance flown is not the only thing that matters.
The jury also pays particular attention to two other factors:
- the unique performance of the entire crew just before take-off
- the creativity of the flying machine
It’s quite clear: The technical finesse reflected in the flying machines and the performance designed to impress the audience also play an important role for the jury.
Home advantage for the PALFINGER crew: The design must be spot-on – that’s the only way the craft can fly further than all others.
