Job Summary

The SAP FI/CO Business Process Manager will provide process consulting for the accounting and controlling function, with a focus on regional/local specific requirements and solutions, including legal and tax requirements. Additionally, this role will manage or collaborate on, regional/local process rollouts or ERP implementation projects.

This role reports to the Vice President, North America Finance, offering a competitive compensation package and opportunity for ongoing career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Business process consulting in the SAP module FI/CO with a focus on accounting and controlling, and on regional/local specific requirements and solutions, including legal and tax requirements 
  • Active design, documentation, implementation/customizing and optimization of the corresponding accounting and controlling business processes for the regional/local organization, in close coordination with the PALFINGER Global Process Organization. 
  • Assume the Project Manager role or various other roles in PALFINGER projects such as test manager or cutover manager with a focus on FICO related topics 
  • Organization as well as preparation and follow-up of project meetings and workshops 
  • Assumption of independent tasks (e.g., management of work packages or [sub]projects) as well as preparation and follow-up of project meetings and workshops 
  • Coordination of employees from different units and divisions as well as external partners in the context of projects, in the specification of requirements from rollout units and the support Interface function between PALFINGER process organization/specialist departments and external service providers 
  • Organization & assurance of 2nd and 3rd level support for SAP FI/CO module and regional/local specific enhancements/extensions (incl. contact person for any escalations) 


  • Relevant professional experience in a similar position as SAP consultant or in-house consultant
  • with focus on SAP FI/CO, minimum 2-3 years 
  • A degree in business administration, business informatics or a comparable qualification 
  • At least basic knowledge of finance and controlling processes and interest to develop further in this environment 
  • FI/CO Customizing minimum basic knowledge 
  • APAP programming knowledge is an advantage 
  • Experience in project management is an advantage 
  • Basic experience in the management of external partners 
  • Commercial and business process understanding 
  • Structured, independent, solution- and goal-oriented way of working 
  • Good communication skills, initiative and ability to work in a team 
  • High level of commitment and flexibility 
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
