In this role, you’ll perform critical welding work across manufacturing and installation areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable builds. You’ll uphold AWS standards and quality best practices while contributing to equipment you can stand behind every day. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Use measuring, squaring, and leveling instruments within 1/16”, along with a wide range of hand and power tools (including welding clamps, vise grips, wire cutters, hammers, impact guns, and related equipment).
  • Properly use, maintain, and operate MIG welding equipment, oxy/acetylene, and carbon arc cutting equipment to efficiently and safely weld sub-assemblies, assemblies, and mount truck equipment to specification.
  • Read and understand drawings, specifications, SOPs, written instructions, and inspection plans; visually inspect completed welds to ensure quality and specification requirements are met.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, perform job reporting transactions in JoScan, care for company tools in assigned work centers, and recommend process improvements to supervision or management.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and 5S/housekeeping standards, while meeting physical job requirements (lifting up to 60 lbs. regularly and 100 lbs. occasionally; bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling) and maintaining regular, timely attendance.

Your Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or GED required, with 2–3 years of welding training and/or experience and a strong mechanical background; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as update job-related documentation and communicate effectively one-on-one with coworkers.
  • Strong mathematical and reasoning skills, including the ability to apply solid geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and common-sense problem solving to practical situations.
  • Physically capable of walking, sitting, standing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and using hands and arms, with the ability to safely lift and move up to 60 pounds on a daily basis.
  • Comfortable working in an office, warehouse, and production environment with moderate noise and exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, and varying temperatures.
