Spares & Service Coordinator - PALFINGER MARINE

We are currently looking to hire a full-time permanent Spares & Service Coordinator in our Langley, BC office.

 

Position Summary:

Based on our customer requests for quotation, the Spares & Service Coordinator, identifies and offers spare parts to customers, ensures quality service to our customers and works closely with the Service and Sales Departments for cross selling of service and/or new equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Achieving customer satisfaction through swiftly and accurately creating and providing quotations to customers;
  • Liaising with customers about delays of orders and other discrepancies/issues reported by Purchasers;
  • Reading and understanding technical drawings to identify spares and retrieve item codes;
  • Requesting technical support if required to obtain more information and identify spares;
  • Calculating sales prices from purchase prices;
  • Maintaining contact with customers about quotations;
  • Complying with procedures, rules and regulations in order to accomplish department and corporate mission and objectives;
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers, as well as fellow employees & other offices within the organization;
  • Possess good telephone and email skills
  • Some packing and shipping of spare parts may be required
  • Fulfillment of spare parts purchase orders with local vendors and other Palfinger office;
  • Takes call from Service Engineers to assist with parts required and technical assistance when needed;
  • Coordinate the execution of lifeboat field service jobs onboard dock-side vessels and offshore platform;
  • Provide attending Service Engineers with proper documentation, work scopes, attendance detail, parts, etc.;
  • Provide Service Engineers with technical and job detail support in conjunction with Technical Support and Operations Manager;
  • Ensure service documentation is received timely and properly filled upon job completion;
  • Receiving, checking and signing inbound shipments;
  • Picking and packing of orders;
  • Load and unload trucks;
  • Generate picking sheet and commercial invoice;
  • Inventory Control skills;

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Fluent in English - written and spoken;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
  • Work with computer-based inventory and job tracking system;
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, both verbal and written;
  • Excellent organizational skills relative to job progress tracking, follow-ups, response times, etc.
  • Ability to professionally and respectfully mitigate/resolve arising issues or conflicts with peers and customers.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously while maintaining efficiency and expectations;
  • Work in fast paced environment;
  • General technical/mechanical knowledge.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to communicate orally with management and other co-workers is important;
  • Standing or sitting for extended periods is common;
  • Exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally may be required
