PALFINGER is seeking a strong Safety Manager candidate familiar with working in a plant environment to join the team and work out of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Council Bluffs, IA. The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager will assist management in compliance with safety regulations in an effort to prevent injuries and illnesses to employees in the workplace; inspect the facility and minimize or eliminate hazards from processes, incorrect working methods and materials; comply with Iowa DNR requirements with respect to OSHA and Workers Compensation guidelines; ensure that the company complies with environmental regulations in the areas of air quality, waste management, clean water and pollution. The job entails a mix of scientific and administration work, along with knowledge of environmental legislation. This role reports to the Operations Manager offering a competitive compensation package and opportunity for ongoing career growth.
