PALFINGER is searching for a Regional Manager, IT to lead our North Americas region and team. Palfinger is open to this role either being in Co. Bluffs, IA or our North American Headquarters located in Schaumburg, IL. This position reports to the Head of Global ICT Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supports information technology needs across Region America, including deployment of backend hardware, computers and mobile devices.
  • Ensures uptime and availability of systems, products, and services.
  • Supervises IT Trainees and/or Network & Systems Technicians, and other IT staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of IT related tasks for assigned locations; monitors and follows up on assigned tasks of direct reports.
  • Coordinates with Austrian PALFINGER Headquarters and other IT resources to timely meet region and global needs.
  • Completes inbound and outbound logistics of computing equipment and supports asset management solutions.
  • Provides direct and professional interaction with end users and outside customers (in Person, by Phone, by Email) according to global ICT support standards.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery for the region in accordance with global regulations. 
  • Has oversight of budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of resources within the region. In particular yearly ICT budgets and monthly forecast needs to be created and aligned with local finance departments and Headquarters in Austria.
  • Monitors and analyzes operational metrics and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies as needed. 
  • Actively collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement new technologies, and ensures that support and operations align with overall business and IT objectives. 
  • Maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, vendors, and IT teams – esp. managers within the region and global ICT teams. 
  • Responsible for the setup and maintenance of IT-infrastructure and IT workplace on sites within region; ensures minor projects are implemented or up to date.
  • Collects and prioritizes demands for changes on IT-solutions and align the demands with the Product Owners. 
  • Upholds Security and Confidentiality procedures in alignment with global ICT Security standards.
  • Adheres to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Follows, supports, and ensures compliance with all IT standards, as well as applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards. 
  • Position will require both local and international travel, a current passport and driver’s license with a verifiably safe driving record are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field or equivalent work experience is required.5 plus years of relevant work experience preferably in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Ability to give employee feedback in verbal and written form succinctly and timely.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with WANs \ LANs (TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, Firewalling).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Windows desktop (10 or higher) and Windows servers (Active directory / DNS / DHCP / Print Server);
  • Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese a plus
  • Good understanding of VoIP systems (preferably Microsoft Teams).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with remote desktops.
  • Good troubleshooting / problem resolution skills, including ability to undertake fault diagnosis in a structured and self-sufficient manner.
  • Experience with IT Helpdesk structure and processes
  • Excellent communication skills are a mandatory requirement.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with or without direct supervision.
  • Project Management \ ITIL \ Microsoft Office 365 or Azure Certification is a plus. 
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
