After Sales Engineer (f/m/d)

Your Tasks

Technical expertise:

• Act as the highest level of support (via hotline, email, CRM/ticketing system) in terms of diagnose, maintenance and repair of the lifting equipment (mechatronics, mechanically welded components, hydraulic power control)
• Conduct onsite assessment and technical upgrade of the devices.
• Actively participate in the implementation of Palfinger SMART solutions (using the potential of digitalization for the benefit of customers)
• Follow up and failure analysis of technical issues to ensure the continuous improvement of services and products

Support of the customer service network:

• Act as support and advisor of the service partner network
• Regularly visit and follow up the work of the service network in EMEA
• Participate in the development of procedures and technical documents for the service network
• Support the sales of spare parts
• Ensure the proper device handling for achieving high level of customer satisfaction
• Support the innovation of Palfinger hooklifts through feedback from service partner network

Claims processing:

• Decide on complaints in cooperation with the Palfinger central service in Austria
• Negotiate solutions to satisfy the customer and optimize costs
• Decision on complaints: Inform importers and justify decisions

Palfinger service:

• Participate in joint Palfinger group projects to develop service offerings and boost the sale of spare parts

Your Qualification

• Technical education (Engineer/Technician level) preferably in the field of mechatronics, , electrical engineering or related
• Multidisciplinary technical experience and knowledge of the world of trucks and lifting equipment would be a plus
• Very good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
• Experience with ERP type SAP would be an advantage
• Willingness to travel <30%
• Very good command of English and good working knowledge of French 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Very good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Initiative and willingness to learn
