PALFINGER is seeking a strong candidate familiar with shipping and receiving to join the team and work out of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Council Bluffs, IA. Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, as needed.

 

Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for shipping out products to our customers. This role reports to the Inventory Control/Shipping and Receiving Manager, offering a competitive compensation package and opportunity for ongoing career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • This position will utilize a forklift daily to load and unload trucks
  • Palletize product and secure product for shipment
  • Identify the difference in our product line
  • Move materials from incoming trucks, identify, count, tag and distribute to appropriate plant departments
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate shipping and tracking of products and materials throughout the plant
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Forklift experience required
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
  • Ability to lift 75 pounds multiple times a day
