As Team Lead (m/f/d) Application Engineering, you will lead and develop a team of application engineers to deliver optimal performance. You will ensure efficient task distribution, foster collaboration, and maintain robustness within the team. Acting as a key player across multiple departments, you will contribute to early-phase engineering and tailor solutions for Palfinger Marine’s product range in customized or project-based business models.
Your Tasks
- Lead and develop the application engineering team according to Palfinger leadership principles.
- Perform early-phase engineering, including technical calculations, descriptions, and cost estimations.
- Create detailed technical specifications and competitive cost calculations in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
- Support projects post-handover and lead concept studies internally or with customers.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize project outcomes and streamline execution.
Your qualifications
- MSc or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience in technical departments, R&D, application engineering, or technical sales support—preferably in marine or offshore industries.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate/manage and develop team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum yearly gross salary according to the Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 60.962,30 based on full-time employment. According to experience and qualification, we offer a market-conform overpayment.
