In this hands‑on role, you’ll work on the refurbishment, repair, and upgrading of Palfinger Marine lifesaving systems, ensuring safety and reliability for our offshore customers. You’ll contribute to testing, reporting, and continuous improvement while working in alignment with our quality and HSE standards. Your responsibilites 

  • Conduct refurbishment, upgrades, and repairs on Palfinger Marine lifesaving equipment—including lifeboats, winches, and davits—while participating in required testing and completing detailed service reports.
  • Perform Safe Job Analysis as per procedures and Project Manager guidance, and report refurbishment progress to both the Project Manager and the customer.
  • Complete all mandatory position‑related courses and maintain compliance with the company’s strategy, Quality Manual, HSE policy, and relevant laws and procedures.
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives to support the company’s mission and objectives.
  • Carry out workshop‑based upgrades and repairs, ensuring all tasks align with departmental and organizational standards.

Your qualifications:

  • Completed training e.g. as an electrician, mechatronics engineer, industrial mechanic, agricultural and construction mechanic or similar
  • Good knowledge of electrical and / or hydraulics components
  • Experience in service engineering
  • Personal Qualities: organized / structured
  • English/ Norwegian written and orally
