Join PALFINGER Marine as our Outside Service Sales Representative who drives profitable growth by promoting and selling PALFINGER Marine service offerings, including lifeboat and davit/crane inspections and repairs. This role focuses on outside sales, territory ownership, and building long-term customer relationships while managing the full sales cycle—from lead generation through post-service satisfaction. You’ll succeed in this role if you are a proactive, self-driven sales professional with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the marine service environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own and grow your assigned territory by proactively identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities while consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Travel frequently to visit existing and prospective customers to build strong relationships, understand service needs, and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans, including annual customer development plans, sales budgets, and innovative approaches to drive growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Service Managers, Coordinators, the Spares team, and regional and global PALFINGER teams to deliver seamless service and customer support.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of PALFINGER Marine service offerings, market trends, and customer needs while providing accurate reporting on sales activity, forecasts, and market insights—all in compliance with company policies, HSEQ standards, and maritime regulations.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the marine equipment industry and 5 years of sales experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required; fluent in English (written and spoken) with a clean driving record for frequent travel.
  • Strong business and customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience working with computer-based inventory and job tracking systems.
  • Self-motivated “go-getter” with excellent communication skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to manage territory performance with minimal supervision.
