Join PALFINGER Marine as our HSEQ Expert who plays a critical role in ensuring PALFINGER’s commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across our Marine organization. This role beased in New Iberia, Louisiana, ensures compliance with legal requirements and company standards while developing, implementing, and monitoring programs that minimize risk and promote safe, sustainable operations. You will partner closely with leadership to embed QHSE priorities into business processes and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and management systems in alignment with legal requirements and PALFINGER standards at local, national, and international levels.
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard controls, incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Design, review, and maintain emergency preparedness and response plans; lead HSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report key QHSE performance indicators (e.g., TRIR, LTIR, environmental metrics) to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Support quality-related activities across PALFINGER locations, including audits, supplier evaluations, incoming inspections, and collaboration with product lines and contractors to ensure compliance with QHSE standards.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science/Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Practical experience in health, safety, environmental compliance, industrial risk management, or quality assurance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH).
  • Proven ability to lead investigations, audits, training programs, and cross-functional initiatives while partnering effectively with leadership and operations teams.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, educate, and promote a strong safety, quality, and environmental culture; fluent in English (written and spoken).
