PALFINGER-Equipment Technology Inc. is searching for a Quality Engineer to join the team in Oklahoma City, OK. We are located at 341 NW 122nd Street, Oklahoma City, OK. This position will report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that quality, compliance and regulation standards are met by monitoring, testing and inspecting products.
  • Develop inspection criteria and procedures for production teams.
  • Train, educate, and promote quality with production personnel to improve quality in production.
  • Interfaces with production engineers and quality engineers to solve product issues.
  • Work with customers, suppliers and internal departments as required to resolve quality issues.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and production best practices to result in continuous improvement.
  • Participates in root cause analysis and development of corrective / preventive actions.
  • Perform and participate in internal audits.
  • Applies testing and inspection procedures and problem-solving methodologies such as 5 why, is/is not, A3, 8D, etc.
  • Participating in risk management activities.
  • Assist with the transfer of designs into production.
  • Assist in investigation of product defects and recommendations of modifications in product, process and /or quality standards as warranted.
  • Perform independent technical assessment on engineering or production deliverables.
  • Leading quality related problem solving and root cause analysis during production including CAPA.
  • Engaging with production teams to manage non-conforming product and to drive cost of non-quality reductions.
  • Using applicable data sources and statistics to report on product quality performance and taking action in accordance with data.
  • Ensuring that quality and compliance standards and regulations are met.
  • Support the development of quality systems including but not limited to receiving inspection, final inspection, in-line inspection, and various process audits.
  • Contamination control process development.
  • Understand an ISO compliant quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.
  • Facilitates the documentation of a ISO 9001 process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Quality Engineering. 
  • Six (6) to eight (8) years progressive experience in quality, engineering, supply chain management, or logistics in a fabrication and assembly production environment.
  • Ability to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems- including designing inspection criteria.
  • Understands an ISO compliant quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic and international standards or requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement ISO compliant quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
  • Previous experience with production or product quality related data analytics such as process capabilities, SPC, pareto, or other related data.
  • Demonstrated experience directly working with at least one of the following areas: CAPA, Non-Conforming Product, Design Transfer.
  • Project management experience.
  • Change management experience.
  • Analytical problem solving.
  • SAP or similar ERP systems experience.
  • Understand quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.
  • Ability to plan, control, and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing Lean concepts is a plus.
  • ASQ Quality Engineer Certification is a plus.
