The sports car rally in aid of children suffering from cancer and “Kinderkrebshilfe Salzburg” (a Salzburg charity for children with cancer) has become an institution. Under the slogan “10,000 HP for Salzburg children with cancer”, owners of exclusive sports cars are invited to participate in this event and support the campaign. The core aim of the initiative is and always has been to give children who are being treated for cancer a really special day. The means to this end are the fantastic sports cars (Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Porsche…), which the children are allowed to sit in. The young patients are then appointed “official co-pilots”. The experience is intended to help them, for just one day, to take their minds off the problems caused by their illness. And to get them “tanked up” with new strength to fight their cancer.
