Save and precise handling of components during the assembling process is a great challenge for facilities and personnel. Due to a wide product range several specially designed assembling fixtures, tools and techniques come to use. Hence not only economic demands can be met but also ergonomic standards set.
Handling facilities and assembling fixtures The picture to the left shows a handling facility which is being used to move and position the boom-system to the base frame of a crane. Again great flexibility is sometimes the most important design character of such handling tools.
Certain sub-assemblies, with special functions, are being pre-assembled and later on locked in the main assembling process. In doing so the sub-assemblies are already being tested according the specification of the final product. Thus the sub-assemblies can be integrated without any time loss.
