PALFINGER was able to score with its Annual Report 2006 with its motto "We`ve grown big and strong". The "League of American Communications Professionals LLC" (LACP) elected the report, which could hold its ground in the TOP 100 ranking, in the following categories for gold and bronze:

In 2007 the ”A.T. Kearney Best Innovator” competition in cooperation with ”Die Presse“ took place in Austria for the third time.
The finalists were Dolphin Technologies, S & T, Mobilkom Austria, Magna Steyr, PALFINGER and Mondi Packaging. The laureats of the ”A.T. Kearney Best Innovator“ competition are characterised by outstanding achievements in the single categories of the Best Innovator evaluation model.

On the 25th April 2006 the "Magazin Award 2006" the advertising prize of "Verlagsgruppe NEWS" was awarded for the secound time. The winners were chosen from 200 submissions in five categories.
The categories were "Die Großformate" (double page), "Die Klassiker" (single page), "Klein & Fein" (small format), "Die Innovativen" (creative solutions) and "Die Magazine Campaign".
In the special category "Choose your favourite advertisement and win" the opinion of the readers was asked for. PALFINGER achieved 4th place. The first places were: Gold: Renault; Silver: Dove; Bronze: Palmers; Bronze: Allianz

| 2006 Austrian Sustainability Reporting Award - 3rd place |

With its Sustainability Report 2005 PALFINGER was able to achieve 3rd place at the Austrian Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2006.
The sustainability prize from the "Kammer der Wirtschaftstreuhänder ASRA" is an annual award handed to the best environment and sustainability reports of Austrian companies.
The following criteria is part of the evaluation: • Company profile • Lengh of report (completeness) • environment management topics • Relationship to target groups • Communication and layout • Information of the environmental impact • Finance related data and environment key data • Sustainability topics and environment efficiency • Certification and credibility

| 2006 Shareholder Value Award – 2nd and 3rd place |

In 2005 PALFINGER was honored for the second best performance as measured by the value-based key performance indicators in the category "value enhancement over 1 year". In the 3-year-valuation PALFINGER is ranked in 3rd place.
Within the Shareholder Value Reports companies of the Wiener Börse prime market and Austrian companies which are listed on a foreign stock marked are analysed.
The growth will be measured in two categories: On the one hand the growth over one year and on the other hand the growth over three years. Key data like return spread (relative EVA), return on equity, total shareholder return and growth indicators will be used as measurement of the performance.

As in the last few years WirtschaftsBlatt, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KSV were looking for the most successful companies in Austria.
The competition AUSTRIA'S LEADING COMPANIES is divided into three categories in which a winner on federal and regional level is ascertained.
• Dynamic small business (annual sales 2005 <10 mio. €) • Golden central block (annual sales 2005 >10 Mio. € and <50 mio. €) • Big Player (annual sales 2005 >50 mio. €)
PALFINGER achieved 1st place.

| 2005 Shareholder Value Award - 2nd place |

In 2004 OMV, PALFINGER and Böhler-Uddeholm were the businesses that generated the most value. Companies of the Wiener Börse`s prime market and of Standard Market Continuous as well as Austrian companies which were listed on the stock market in Frankfurt or Zurich were analysed.
PALFINGER was not only able to generate solid returns in the last year, but was also to achieve excellent performance on the capital market (+81.88).

The second price was given to PALFINGER. The journalist prize is an annual prize for media work of listed companies in the context of the big stock market prize allocated from the magazine "Gewinn".

| 2005 Austrian State Award for Transport Logistics – Nomination |
 |
Enormous interest was shown for the first Austrian state award for transport logistics. Fourty applications fort he first state award for transport logistics represent the high amount of interest in the logistics industry. Out of the fourty high quality applications the jury of experts nominated nine of them. On 24th November 2005 the two state awards and one special award bestowed.
PALFINGER and partner Rail Cargo Austria participated in the competition with their innovative transport logistics MOBILER. The MOBILER-logistic-master plan presented was nominated in category B "Products on the market / System solutions".

| 2004 Award for Apprentice Programs |

On 9th February 2004 Palfinger Produktionstechnik GmbH was honoured by the Federal Minister Dr. Martin Bartenstein with the award for "Staatlich ausgezeichneter Ausbildungsbetrieb", for its excellent trainee programs.
The background of this award culminated in the performances in the apprentice programm over a period of 10 years concerning: - Continuos apprenticeship training as well as support and preparation for the final apprenticeship examinations. - Success in trade school (over 70% commendations) and final apprenticeship examinations (over 50% commendations) - Success in national and international apprentice competitions - Engagement for disabled people - Cooperation with examination boards - Free from convictions of violation of rights for economy and work life.

PALFINGER Europe GmbH won third place in the category "Industrial Enterprises" for its project "Elektronisches Waggon-Alarmierungs-System - EWAS (Telematik Zollplombe)" at the innovation award of Salzburg Economy 2004.

| 2003 Innovation Award Salzburg Economy – 1st place |

On October 24th PALFINGER AG won the Innovation Award 2003 for the district of Salzburg in the category "Industrial Enterprises" with its joint venture project with ÖBB "IUT-Innovativer Umladeterminal".
This logistics concept enables the reduction of noise during loading in overcrowded areas by using of a fully automatic storage rack extract mechanism which works with close to no noise emissions by moving on synthetic rollers.
The EUR 3.000,- award was received by supervisory board chairman Hubert Palfinger and managing board chairman Wolfgang Anzengruber. The prize money was donated to the children`s hospital, "it is great if a prize is able have more than one winner” Hubert Palfinger said.

| 2003 Intermodal Award – 1st place |

Within the Intermodel 2003 conference and exhibition in Rotterdam on the 4th November 2003 the 4th Intermodal Award was prestented. In category 2 "Best Hard or Software Product" the MOBILER from PALFINGER BERMÜLLER GmbH came out on top.
The jury awarded the MOBILER the prize because the MOBILER opens the technological and the economical door to an intermodal transport like no other system.

| 2002 e-log@istics-award - 1st place |

International award for the combination of the flow of information and flow of goods. On the occasion of the annual congress "AKJ Automotive und Forum für Logistik und Produktionsmanagement" the minister of economic affairs of Saarland presented the international e-log@istics-award 2002 to PALFINGER and Rail Cargo Austria.
The e-logistics-system from PALFINGER, which was realised in a pilot project in cooperation with Rail Cargo Austria, won though in a three-stage selection process with 34 other nominated logistic solutions. The complete system enables complete transparency of the logistic chain and process reliability.

Competence, readiness and flexibility of the Investor-Relations-department and the quality of public relations. - Controlling / Reporting / Transparency. - Management and employees. - Market related factors. - Performance and value results. Calculated by Total Shareholder Return, Return on Capital Employed and Weighted Average Cost of Capital.
PALFINGER achieved 2nd place.

Minister of economic affairs Martin Bartenstein and the president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl presented the "Österreichischen Exportpreis 2001". The winners of the first prizes in the different categories were: List Möbelwerk GmbH (industrial arts), Biomin Gesunde Tierernährungs International GmbH (trade), PALFINGER AG (industry) and Wiener Sacher Hotels BetriebsgesmbH (tourism).

Wiener Börse in cooperation with Österreichische Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse and the Wirtschaftsmagazin "Gewinn" annually award the big stock market prize for exemplary equity market information (quality of the annual report, letters to shareholders and general information policy) to a company that is listed on the Vienna stock exchange.
PALFINGER, only listed on the stock market since summer 1999, won the prize ahead of VA Stahl and OMV.

WirtschaftsBlatt in cooperation with Oberbank-Gruppe awarded Austrian Businesses: Chosen from a top-class jury the laureates of "Hermes 2000" were honored in Viennas Palais Eschenbach – seven economic pioneers of most diverse characters and sectors received the award. They had one thing in common: success. Among those was Hubert Palfinger sen.
The other prize winners were: Josef Öhlinger, Chief of "funworld", Dieter and Martin Lutz, owners of metal powder industry Benda Lutz, Hans Dichand, publisher of Kronen Zeitung, Alfred Riedl of Jacques Lemans, managers of Intersport Austria Alfred Schwab and Lutz Eybl as well as Pater Alfred Strigl, general manager of monastery cheese dairy and glass manufacturer Schlierbach.

| 2000 Innovation Prize of the district of Salzburg – 2nd place |

Palfinger Hebetechnik GmbH achieved 2nd prize for developing an hydraulic system, which simplifies the switching between wagon and truck. PALFINGER announced at the award ceremony that the prize money of 30.000 Schillings will be donated to 3 students as a refund for the tuition fees which have to be paid in future.
