For years, the PALFINGER Group has been one of the international leading manufacturers of lifting, loading and handling systems. Innovation, further internationalization and diversification of the products are the guiding principles of the company strategy. Taking this strategy into account, it is essential for PALFINGER to make full use of its competitive advantages. Therefore, PALFINGER has decided to improve the Global Strategic Purchasing functions and processes to lead the PALFINGER Group towards excellent performance.

On 1st April 2006 the new Global Strategic Purchasing organisation was officially established in the PALFINGER Group. The prior objective of the new organisation is a permanent improvement of local as well as global strategic purchasing activities in-line with the recently launched new group organisation “GPS reloaded”.
