PALFINGER MARINE represented on the 22nd International Offshore Cranes and Lifting Conference in Stavanger.
The International Offshore Cranes and Lifting Conference, which is alternating between Stavanger and Aberdeen, is a very important meeting place for players within the Oil & Gas industry worldwide. All major manufacturers took part alongside with service companies, smaller system suppliers to cranes and of course most importantly the oil company representatives.
PALFINGER MARINE has been attending the conference for many years as visitors, but this year for the first time we were presenting a technical paper. On the presentation conducted by Cyrielle Gorini-Gonçalves, PALFINGER MARINE R&D Engineer we got very good feedback from the delegates..
The topics covered in the course of the presentation were:
- Highlights from the development and testing of PALFINGER MARINE's DKW2500E fully electric offshore crane according to EN 13852 and Norsok R-002 for the Johan Sverdrup field
- Technology based on standard AC motors and VFD drives and verified by Technology Qualification Plan together with STATOIL
