Palfinger American Roll-Off is currently seeking an experienced Quality Specialist supporting our Trenton, NJ manufacturing facility!

Position Summary:

Support Quality Assurance processes through audits; documentation of non-conformances; prioritizing and implementing assigned improvement projects; practicing document control; communicating quality concerns to managers, peers, production workers, and suppliers; using, managing, and calibrating precision measuring instruments; and coordinating the actions of Quality Inspectors.

 

Successful candidate must have the ability to use all standard inspection devices, read part prints and designs, understand specifications and operations documents, perform production inspection, first article inspection and document the results of the same. Additionally, must have the ability to work without constant supervision and complete required inspection activities.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Conduct in bay truck inspections.

  • Complete first three (3) pages of the inspection form, acknowledging acceptance of criteria via initial and date of each lined item and signature and date on 3rd page where indicated.
  • Cycle truck three (3) times documenting/recording speed times.
  • Verify pressure by use of a gauge, take a photograph of the gauge output.
  • Torque the PTO (42lbs) and Pump bolts (50lbs).
  • Overall truck photographs

2. Participate in gauge R&R activities.

3. Perform part and gauge layout as required.

4. Use all inspection equipment

  • i.e., hand measurement tools, fixture gauges and other inspection equipment as defined in the production processes.

5. Perform receiving inspection on incoming material.

6. Ensure traceability procedures are in place and being followed.

7. Maintain files and required documentation.

8. Prepare inspection reports.

9. Assist in the analysis of problems and corrective action.

10. Ensure all quality standards and procedures are followed.

11. Ensure cleanliness and organization of all quality assurance work areas.

12. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

1. Must be able to measure utilizing measurement tools, i.e calipers,tape, romer arms

2. Possess good mechanical understanding and aptitude. Able to determine part function and relationship to entire product

3. Ability to understand and follow inspection instructions

4. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings (including dimension points) blueprints, specifications, and operation/process sheets.

5. Must be able to lift things and climb on equipment

6. H.S diploma or equivalent
