PALFINGER 21st Customer Expert Competence Team Lead (f/m/d)

The customer expert competence lead is part of the P21st competence center. With his/her team he/she represents the voice of the customer throughout the P21st development process. The job focus is the front end innovation process with the identification of relevant customer needs through costumer research, translation of those needs into insights, jobs to be done and customer requirements in defined areas of innovation. A key task for the team will be the assessment and testing of new ideas, early concepts, demonstrators & prototypes with customers and the execution of insight and minimal viable product validation. Furthermore this involves a close collaboration with Product Owners and the Market Experts of PALFINGER. Your Tasks:

Team lead of the P21st Costumer Expert Competence Team 

  • Hires and fosters talents, builds a strong effective team 
  • Acts as role model for customer focus mind-set throughout the organization 
  • Actively builds the PALFINGER 21st customer centricity competence team 
  • Disseminates best practices and results

Customer representative and voice of the customer in the P21st team 

  • Execution of customer research to identify customer needs and problems
  • Translation of customer needs into insights, jobs to be done and requirement specifications
  • Validation of insights and minimum viable products, early idea, concept and prototype testing

Shape, introduce and maintain required tools and networks

  • Responsible for identification, piloting and maintenance of required tools/ processes
  • Responsible to foster network contributing to the customer expert competence team 
  • Maintains his/her own partner network 

Active project support and collaboration 

  • The customer expert lead is responsible to ensure maturation and validation of the customer insight in all P21st projects
  • Next to own customer research projects the customer expert actively supports and collaborates in the Problem-Solution and Product-Market fit initiatives 

Your Qualifications:

  • University degree in a merketing, commercial or social field or other relevant area
  • Minimum 7 years hands on experience in a similar role in either a B2C or B2B environment 
  • Expert knowledge in Design Thinking and Costumer Centric Framework tools 
  • Experience in methods to conduct the generation of customer insights and customer and market tests for concepts MVPs and prototypes 
  • Know-how and experience as Project Manager, manages well collaborations with external partners, good presentation skills 
  • Keen interest in customer behavior able to identify both obvious and latent needs and to translate these into jobs to be done and customer requirements
  • Motivated self-starter with driven spirit who rather asks for forgiveness than permission 
  • Flexible personality, operates well in an intercultural environment, able to build bridges and relevant internal and external network 
  • Strong communicator knows who to translate complex issues fit for diverse target audiences, and more importantly excellent listener with proven know how to guide through interviews
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build consensus, and communicate priorities and expectations 
  • Strong opinion leader and team player with the ability to balance different project stakeholders with the customer interests, motivated and not discouraged by strong headwinds

Minimum gross salary according to Austrian metal industry collective agreement is EUR 40.362,42,-. We are willing to overpay according to training and qualification.
